We are making some changes to our membership fees and Pay As You Go swim and class prices, which will be effective from 1st April 2025.
Please note: We are not making changes on 1st April 2025 to **existing** membership Direct Debits. The price changes apply only to **new** memberships starting from 1st April 2025.
Top tip: If you're thinking about upgrading, or starting a new Pelican Centre membership, do so before 1st April to lock in the lower rate.

Why are we making these changes?
The Pelican Centre is committed to creating an affordable, welcoming, clean and friendly facility where everyone in our community can Feel Good.
We haven't increased our membership prices since 2016 - that's a price freeze of 9 years!
Our running costs have increased significantly in recent years and will do so again in the coming year, in particular our energy costs, staffing, and chemical costs - for example, the price of chlorine reached a record high due to international economic factors.
Many of these costs are out of our control, but - with your help - we've been implementing plenty of initiatives to enhance our sustainability and reduce energy consumption. For example, installation of a variable speed filtration system for the pool has reduced plant room energy costs, solar panels will help us to generate our own power, and removing blue roll from the Gym saves on waste.
We're working hard to make sure that we still offer great value, and with more classes to come, continual centre investment and the launch of programmes such as Here4You, the Pelican Centre is your no.1 local centre for health and wellbeing.
