Part of our Here4You offer which encourages, supports and guides everyone in our community to become more active, and to stay healthy and well, as an Ambition participant you’ll have exclusive, FREE access to Ambition classes, Gym support and swimming to boost your confidence, mental health and physical wellbeing.

Who can join Ambition with Here4You?

Like the sound of Ambition? The programme’s open to you if you’re living in Wigan Borough and meet the following criteria:

• Currently out of work (or working part-time & receiving Universal Credit)

• Receiving Universal Credit

• Aged 16+

All abilities are welcome to sign up to Ambition, whether you’re new to exercise or more experienced.

Receipt of Universal Credit or other benefits is not affected by your participation in Ambition with Here4You.

Our team will be in touch to book in your induction and to get your Ambition programme started. Please bring your National Insurance number with you for your induction.

What to expect

At the heart of our community in Tyldesley, Atherton and Astley since 2012, the Pelican Centre offers accessible swim, gym, classes and community spaces, helping every member of our community to Feel Good mentally, physically and socially.

Run by our friendly and experienced staff, Ambition is a project funded by the government that helps to get members of our community work-ready. Whether you’re looking to return to work after a break, you’ve had an injury or illness, or you’re long-term employed for any reason, Ambition’s support boosts your confidence, physical health and mental wellbeing to help you take that next step.
