Due to the nature of the work, flexible working, regular evenings and weekend work is a feature of this job. You may be required to deliver services throughout the local area.

This apprenticeship is a great introduction to the leisure industry, providing help and support to the Pelican Centre’s members and the staff team.
In this role you will be required to supervise the pool, ensuring the safety of its users whilst assisting the Duty Manager with the day to day running of the Centre. You will be organised, self-motivated and keen to start a career in fitness and leisure.

The Pelican Centre is recruiting experienced swimming teachers to expand our current Learn to Swim programme. We deliver lessons to children aged from 3 years old, all the way up to adult lessons.
You must have a Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification, either from Swim England or STA, and must hold an NPLQ or NRASTC qualification.
You’ll have knowledge of the Swim England Learn to Swim programme for teaching swimming skills, techniques and awards.
You’ll be friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping children and adults learn how to swim and to enjoy the water safely, giving your students lifelong skills and building a great, trusting relationship with them.
