The Pelican Centre's class timetable is ever-growing, with a great range of sessions on offer to suit any fitness goal, ability or interest.

We've currently got over 35 classes on the weekly timetable, including:

Yoga & Pregnancy Yoga

Great for mind and body, yoga combines physical, mental and and relaxation techniques and postures to enhance physical strength whilst promoting breathing and meditation to benefit the whole being.

Our Pregnancy Yoga classes are specially adapted for bumps to prepare for birth, strengthen pelvic floor and to help you make some time just for you.


Pilates is a mind and body exercise which aims to improve core strength and stability, flexibility, and encourages muscle control, posture and breathing. The practice takes much of its inspiration from yoga, but is targeted more towards core strength and features fewer of the spiritual aspects of yoga.

Stretch & Flex

A class which combines yoga and pilates disciplines without the meditation and relaxation elements, Stretch & Flex improves flexibility, range of movement and helps to prevent injury.

Great skills to learn or brush up on, especially when combined with other classes on the timetable, or swim or gym sessions.

Body Blast

Similar to bootcamp, but you'll follow an instructor in this HIIT-style class for maximum impact over short bursts of activity. Gets the heart rate going and targets your whole body.

Body Sculpt

This class aims to improve muscle definition and strength using a bar or light weights. Feel stronger, more toned and learn safe techniques with this instructor-led session.


Jump in the pool for Aquafit, giving you a great workout with lower impact thanks to support from the water. An aerobic session that'll work the whole body, helping you to keep fit and have some fun at the same time.

Zumba & Zumba Gold

Fantastic fun with Anna, Zumba sessions are really popular. Dance-style exercises are energetic, set to music that you can't help but move to. Zumba is for anyone, but Zumba Gold sessions feature less impact for those seeking a gentler workout.

Gentle Gym

If you're new to the gym or returning after a break, or if you just want to exercise in a small group environment, Gentle Gym is the session for you. Taking place in the gym, this instructor-led session helps you to exercise safely and gets you into a good routine that works for your goals. A great introduction to the Pelican Centre, too!
